As part of our continued rehabilitation of the infrastructure of the Shoshone Irrigation District we will begin the replacement of Laterala 9-S, 6-S, and about 2 miles of Lateral D with PVC pipe. We will also be installing new farm turnout structures with measuring devices at the headgate locations. Most of the farm turnouts on these laterals currently have no measurement capabilities.

We are doing these projects with funding assistance we recieved in 2006 from the 'Wyoming Water Development Commission.

During the Winter of 2007/2008 we completed the installation of Laterals 4-C, 2-W, and 24-F.  This construction included fourteen new measurement and delivery boxes and we buried about 3 miles of open ditch with pipe.  The total cost of these projects was $727,714 with the WWDC contributing $496,607 of the total amount.

We completed the final concrete pour of the Eaglesnest structure on February 5, 2007.  Backfilling, installation of the spill gates and a walkway across the canal were completed around the first week in March.  District Crews placed about 400 cubic yards of concrete to complete this project.  The total cost of this replacement project was $167,382.41,  The WWDC paid $75,807 of this project
